Jean B. Reynolds, 88, of Stoneham. Died on Tuesday, May 10 at the Lahey Hospital in Burlington.
Born in Somerville on January 11, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Christian and Bridget (Collins) Younker.
Mrs. Reynolds was raised in Somerville and was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Somerville. She married her husband on May 9, 1954. Mrs. Reynolds loved bowling, crafts, dancing, theater and traveling with her husband; her lifelong dream was fulfilled with a trip to Ireland. She had a membership to the Stoneham Theater and enjoyed volunteering at the Stoneham Senior Center and Dutton Adult Care. Mrs. Reynolds was a eucharistic minister at St. Patrick's Church. "Nana" loved her grandchildren and summer cookouts that she hosted.
She was the wife of the late John J. Reynolds, mother of Steven Reynolds of Sherwood, AR, Cheryl Mosher and her husband Gary of Stoneham, Christopher Reynolds of Stoneham and Joseph Gilmartin and his wife Teresa of Peabody. Grandmother of MacKenzie Phillips and her husband Will, McCall Reynolds and her fiancé Adam Keeling, Lauren Campbell and her husband Ryan, Brianne Boodry and her husband Bill, Christopher Mosher and his fiancé Jessica Robbins, Hannah and Liam Reynolds, Anthony Gilmartin and his fiancé Bridget Kidd, Joseph Gilmartin, Jr and the late Devin Reynolds. Great grandmother of Carter, Kennedy, Sloane, Everett, Hayden and Brent. Survived by her special nephew; Bill Younker and wife Diane of Cambridge as well as many other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by seven siblings: George Younker, John Younker, Christian Younker, Richard Younker, Eleanor Perry, Evelyn Driscoll and Dorothy Younker.
Visitation for relatives and friends at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Sunday from 1-4pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham on Monday at 10am followed by an interment at St. Patrick Cemetery, Stoneham.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stoneham Senior Center, 136 Elm St., Stoneham, MA 02180.
