Josephine L. Macera Obituary

Josephine L. Macera, age 88 of Peabody, formerly of Lynnfield, died on Saturday August 13 at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading.

She was born in Boston on August 23, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Alfonso and Concetta (Prestandrea) Guarnaccia.

Josephine was born and raised in the North End. She was a talented seamstress and a very caring mother and grandmother. She loved to garden and care for her horses.

She was the loving mother of Michelle Macera of Peabody, Michael Macera of Florida, and the late Richard Macera formerly of Dorchester. She was the beloved grandmother of Christopher, Thomas, Michelle, and Gina. She was the great grandmother of Nathan and Myla. Josephine was also the sister of the late Rocco and Camille Guarnaccia.

Josephine's Funeral Service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday August 19 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held on Friday prior to the service from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Interment, Forest Hill Cemetery, Lynnfield.
