Josephine M. Brunco, 94, of Wakefield, died on Sunday, March 6 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Born in Brooklyn, New York on March 19, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Chiafftello) Cammaroto.
Mrs. Brunco was raised and educated in Brooklyn, New York. She had been a Wakefield resident since 1994. She enjoyed caring for and spending time with her family, both at home and in New York, as well as reading and needlework.
She was the wife of the late Anthony J. Brunco, and is survived by her four children: Joseph Brunco and his wife Janice of Dracut, Mary Elliott of Wakefield, Anthony Brunco and his wife Jean of Saugus, and Patricia Lascuola and her husband Tom of Everett. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren
.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield on Friday at 11:00am followed by an interment at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday prior to the Mass starting at 9:00am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Beth Israel Lahey Health at Home Hospice, 600 Cummings Center, Suite 270X, Beverly, MA 01915.
