Roger E. Lepke, age 63, of Rowley, formerly of Newburyport and Lynnfield, passed away Thursday, February 9 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill.

Born in Lynn on February 8, 1954 he was the son of the late George W. and Helen R. (Farrington) Lepke.

Roger was raised in Lynnfield and was a graduate of Lynnfield High School, Class of 1972. He was an avid New England sports fan and had a passion for vintage cars and vinyl records. Roger's favorite hobby was working with his vehicles and he loved to have them tuned-up and looking like new. He enjoyed time spent with family boating on Lake Attitash in Amesbury, and spending summers at Attitash Resort and Cape Cod. Roger loved a good joke, and was known for his unique story telling. At family gatherings or meetings with friends, Roger was sure to bring a smile to everyone's face, with a surprise moment or a hearty laugh. Roger always asked what he could do to help when family and friends were together. He will be remembered as a committed and loving father and friend.

He was survived by his two sons Robert W. Lepke of Rowley and Richard D. Lepke of San Diego, CA along with their mother Joanne (Cain) Lepke of Amesbury. He was the brother of George W. Lepke and his wife Carla of Boston, Geoffrey A. Lepke and his wife Suzanne of Lynnfield, June Skiffington and her husband Paul of Tewksbury and Sandy Marotte and her husband Bob of Franklin, NH. He was the uncle of Erik, Kirk, and Brianna Lepke and Danielle and Caitlin Fallon.

Funeral Service will be held at McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield, MA on Tuesday 2/14 at 7pm. Visitation for relatives and friends prior to the service from 4-7pm.
